itz HELMET vs "HELL-MET"
Well, Its really tough to explain how weird it felt when I banged my head(ofcourse covered with helmet) onto the wall by the side of the subway that I riding. Though it was an accident which could have just crushed my head into many a fragments, I dint forget to out on my helmet that saved me from being - "Hell met". Now that's what I call - "Blessing in disguise".
Hmmm, here goes my narration.
It was a wonderful morning as usual with my over time

Well ,The very next thing that comes to one's mind is the "shock". The shock wave initially left me with its chill and fear of the road to death just breezed along my face. But I saw four faces appear consecutively utterins something that brought me to reality.

First was that of my father who uttered - "Dont come here. Its not yet time. join me later".
I miss him a lot these days. He is my hero for ever and I can never equal him.
Second was my mother's image screaming not able to bear the sight of me in critical medical scenario. I cant see her suffereing that way forever.
Third was my friend who infact in that short span of illution even slapped me and told - "Get up. You still haven realised your dream. Get the hell out of here".
The last was that of mine and it said - "There is lot more in store(no clue if its good or bad) and the world will be incomplete without us".
Now these four images brought me back to reality. My leg was shaking in the aftermath of the shock. I could not bend my knees. I tried getting up, but it pained a lot. The four images gave me courage to fight the pain and made me stand on my feet. I can only say it pained a lot more than ever before. Now my hands joined the shivering party, and it shivered out the coldness of the accident. I saw a few coming to my help, but the vendor who was the real culprit had already fled.
A young man came up to me and asked if I was alright and he helped me climb up hill the subway where I reached a road side tea-shop. Thats where I noticed the bruises and it was bleeding. I borrowed some water to clean my leg and rested there for a while. It was 11.10 and I had 5 missed calls in my cell phone. I called up the other guy with whom I had to meet an important person and asked to proceed without me. It took a while for me to understand that I am alive and I had to taste a cup of tea to ensure I dint loose any of my senses. ;). Anyways that day was more of learning about how to combat shock and thats how i want it to be registered in my brain rather than a almost fatal accident. Atleast after reading this I guess you would never forget to wear your helmet. Beteer dont forget or else you would be "HELL MET".

Scarry... very well written, it brings the exact picture in front while reading but i can imagine how frightening it would have been. Good that you were wearing helmet.
This reminds me of the accident that i had with bike. I was coming back home from office and was in 100Ft road before Ambika empire. I had actually returned from U.S the day before that incident. So i was not out of jet lag. Half way through i was fine but then i started to feel sleepy but dosed off couple of times. As house was near i thought i could manage it but once again when i dosed off, i could see that i was very close another bike and he was crossing left lane. I lost control, fell down at that speed of 50 km/hr, scratched the road for about 100 m and landed under a private bus that was parked in the corner. Luckily that bus was just parked and i dint fall in the center of road. So escaped major accident with lot of bruises and scratches in hands n legs. I hate wearing helmet but i was wearing one because of the rule, otherwise would have had severe injuries. Few people helped me to get up, got me some water and were shouting at the other guy not knowing that it was my fault. Then i realized that my mobile was missing, which had fallen down somewhere but someone had picked it up.
